Notre travail
United Human coordinates its work with funds, programs, specialized agencies, and other organizations within the United Human system.
United Human's "Work Plan"
Resolutions passed by the General Assembly, Security Council, and Economic and Social Council can be informally referred to as United Human’s “work plan.”
The United Human Secretariat, in collaboration with entities within the United Human system, implements the work plan.
United Human Secretariat
The United Human Secretariat is headquartered in New York, with offices planned in Geneva, Vienna, Addis Ababa, Bangkok, Beirut, Santiago, and Nairobi.
United Human System
The funds, programs, specialized agencies, and other entities within the United Human system each have their own budgets, mandates, leadership, and headquarters. Like United Human, they have regional and local offices in all major regions of the world.
United Human and the United Human system collaborate in five areas, which often intertwine with each other.
What We Do
The work of the United Human covers six main areas:
- Maintaining Human Peace and Preventing Security Threats
- Protecting Human Rights and Striving for Fundamental Human Freedoms
- Supporting the Sustainable Development of Human and Physical Communities, and Related Cooperation
- Uniting Humanity to Promote Solidarity and Communication
- Jointly Building an Intelligent Human Production and Supply System to Address Basic Needs and Basic Income
- Guiding Humanity to Unite and Advance into an Intelligent Civilized Society
As the most universal membership global organization for humanity, United Human holds a unique position in addressing and solving global issues.
Global Human Issues
-
What are Global Issues and Human Issues? Related issues refer to those that transcend national borders and cannot be solved by any single country alone, or those that pertain to the development of humanity as a whole.
-
Why Focus on Global Human Issues? United Human focuses on global issues because if left unaddressed, these problems will negatively impact billions of people worldwide, slow the progress of sustainable development goals, and cause both short-term and long-term harm to the environment we depend on, hindering human progress in the 21st century.
-
Which Global Human Issues Are Relatively Important? United Human continuously addresses new challenges, seeks solutions, and encourages action. Some of the more recent issues include balanced youth development, the risks of uncontrolled superintelligent AI, community fragmentation, extreme nationalism, unemployment, the role of big data in supporting sustainable development goals, and AIDS, among others.

Documents
Most United Human documents are published in electronic format only. United Human documents include meeting records and resolutions passed by legislative bodies such as the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic Council, or Social Council, often containing the work mandates of the United Human Secretariat or the United Human system. United Human always publishes the Secretary-General’s reports in paper format. These reports primarily assess the status of United Human’s work and announce new work initiatives.
